While the typical 'school year' is wrapping up, there are still lots of opportunities for learning (and fun) for kids and adults at MCCC throughout the summer.
MCCC's Summer Camps for school-age children in grades 1 - 12 include sports, technology and engineering, the arts, cooking, healthcare and even rockets. Camp sessions start Monday, June 24
Sports camps including fundamentals and developing offensive skills in basketball, yoga, volleyball, pickleball, soccer, and firearm safety.
Cooking for teens, along with guitar an photography camps still have spots available for older kids (generally grades 5 - 12) along with specialty, career-oriented camps in CAD/CAM, construction technology and metrology (the science of measurement) and rockets.

Summertime fun isn't just for children. MCCC's Office of Lifelong Learning and Workforce Development also has courses and sessions on offer for summer including a recently added session of indoor pickleball for adults that begins Thurs., May 9 (registration deadline is Wed., May 8).
Pickleball is America’s fastest growing sport. During this four-week session participants will learn the rules of the game; scoring and techniques including service, returns, dinks and more. If participants do not have your own equipment, paddles and balls are available for use during class. The class is held from 6 - 8:30 p.m. in the Welch Health Education Center. In addition to the added session of pickleball, other classes for adults being offered this summer include creating an herbal watering can, photography II and an outside photography workshop, motorcycle safety and online Spanish and sign language classes. For those looking to learn a new career or improve their professional skills, MCCC offers HealthGuard Professional Food Manager certification preparation and CDL truck driver training. In addition, dozens of online courses are available including, but not limited to an introduction to voiceovers, paralegal training, home inspection certification, boiler and power plant fundamentals, graphic arts, web design, accounting, project management, computer science and various applications, teacher professional development and much more.
