Note: The best preparation for the B.S.W. degree is to have a good foundation in the social sciences, as many general education requirements completed as possible, and a good orientation to the human services.
The good news is that at Marygrove you do not have to be formally accepted into the B.S.W. program to begin to elect courses in social work. You can take one or more social work courses while you assess your aptitude for and interest in the profession. If it seems right for you, then DO IT!
Marygrove College’s social work faculty welcomes your questions. We want to make it easy for you to transfer into our program. We’ll work with you to develop a 2-year, 3-year, or an extended plan that’s in line with your academic and career goals.
