Articulation Agreement
between
Spring Arbor University
and
Monroe County Community College
Monroe County Community College and Spring Arbor University have developed this articulation agreement designed to facilitate the educational mobility and transfer of students from Monroe County Community College to Spring Arbor University's School of Adult Studies.
Article I
Spring Arbor University (SAU) and Monroe County Community College (MCCC) enter into this agreement as cooperating, equal partners who shall maintain the integrity of their separate programs.
Article II
After completion of an associate*s degree in Registered Nursing from MCCC, a student may transfer to Spring Arbor University School of Adult Studies BSN degree completion program after completing the following steps:
1. Successful
completion of a minimum of 58 transferable credits
2. Cumulative GPA of 2.5 or higher
3. Timely submission and approval of
all application material.
4. Personal interview with a Spring
Arbor University admissions representative and/or
Academic Advisor.
Under this agreement MCCC students will be required to meet all SAU graduation requirements.
Article III
Spring Arbor University and Monroe County Community College agree to cooperate with each other and with common respective publics concerning the established relationship between the two institutions.
Spring Arbor University and Monroe County Community College further agree to communicate annually concerning curriculum changes, which affect the agreed-upon relationship between the articulated programs at the respective institutions. Both parties reserve the right to propose amendments or revisions to this Agreement.
Monroe County Community College will designate an official(s) who will be responsible for all aspects of the articulation program at MCCC. Spring Arbor University will designate an individual(s) responsible for all aspects of this articulation agreement at SAU.
Monroe County Community College and Spring Arbor University agree to the terms of this Articulation Agreement. This Agreement will be for an initial period of (3) years. Either Spring Arbor University or Monroe County Community College may terminate this agreement by notifying the other party 90 days in advance.
This agreement is effective as of January 1, 2002.

The
RN-BSN accelerated completion program prepares professional nurses to contribute
service and leadership to diverse communities through one of three specialty
area options. Leadership/Management synthesizes complex care issues with
contemporary business and managed care practices. Gerontology promotes
comprehensive care for an aging population.
Parish/Community integrates
faith and health promotion within communities.

Nursing Major. They are not covered
by MACRAO. Some of these courses could
meet requirements as support courses and as liberal arts requirements listed

of 84 semester hours with a minimum of a “C” (2.0) or better may be
transferred from MCCC. Students
must have a cumulative grade point average of 2.5 or higher to be accepted in
to the BSN program. A
maximum of 40 technical/occupational hours may be applied toward the degree. Spring
Arbor accepts certain exams from CLEP, DANTES, TECEP, and NLN. Please contact an academic advisor at SAU
to determine which tests could meet any of the above-mentioned
requirements. Prior
Learning Credit: credit can be earned at Spring Arbor University by writing
life-learning papers that demonstrate appropriate college level learning. Documented
learning from professional training, seminars, and licenses can also be
evaluated for college credit. Students
may apply a maximum of 30 semester hours of prior-learning credits toward the
degree. |
