Criminal Justice Articulation Agreement
Between
Lourdes College And Monroe County Community College

It is mutually agreed by Lourdes College and Monroe County Community College that Lourdes will accept on a 2+2 basis transfer credit from Monroe County Community College for an Associates of Science or an Associates of Arts degree holder who has followed the Criminal Justice/Law Enforcement transfer program.

This 2+2 transfer of credit will apply only to the students who have earned an Associates degree. Lourdes College will transfer a maximum of 96 semester hours of C grade or better into the Criminal Justice -Degree Program or the Bachelor of Individualized Studies and will allocate specific credit as courses meet Core and/or Specialization requirements.

After formal acceptance to Lourdes College, Monroe County Community College students must adhere to the following specific program requirements:

  • Self-declaration of no felony convictions.
  • Interview with the Lourdes College criminal justice program director.
  • Submit three (3) letters of recommendation to the criminal justice program director within sixty (60) days of the program entrance interview. These letters can be from non-family professionals, employers, or clergy.
  • A record of high personal integrity must be maintained throughout your program studies.
  • Maintain a 2.5 cumulative G.P.A. in the Lourdes College Criminal Justice core curriculum requirements.

The allocation of advanced credit to the program will be the responsibility of the Criminal Justice Program advisor, subject to the approval of the Academic Dean of the College.

Monroe County Community College will retain full responsibility for the educational program of its students. Furthermore, Monroe County Community College should inform Lourdes of changes in the curriculum or changes in the availability of learning opportunities as early or as far in advance of the time of the change as is feasible. Failure to do so may prevent the articulation of transfer credit on a 2+2 basis.

The faculty and staff of both institutions are encouraged to visit each institution to plan, survey, observe and/or participate in conference with students and/or faculty.

An annual review of the 2+2 program and the curriculum of both Lourdes College and Monroe County Community College will be made by representatives from each institution.

This Articulation Agreement may be terminated by either party upon written notice to the other six (6) calendar months prior to the desired effective date of termination.

This Articulation Agreement will be in effect beginning June 1,1997 and will be reviewed annually to insure any updates of courses from either institution are reflected for accuracy.
