Im
undecided about my major. Can MCCC
help me?
First recognize that a great many students are undecided
about their academic goals. Take
advantage of the services that MCCC offers such as career counseling and
assessment as well as the resources available in the Career Center, A-103.
Career counseling is an opportunity for you to assess your goals, values,
interests and personality preferences, as well as increase your knowledge of the
world of work. Call the Admissions Office at 734-384-4104 to make an appointment for career counseling. This service is offered free of charge to MCCC students. · How do I choose my classes for next semester? All new students are required to meet with a counselor to
receive assistance in deciding on class selection. Students are then assigned a faculty advisor to assist them
in the registration process. New
students will receive a letter in the mail advising them of their faculty
advisor prior to the start of registration for the next semester. · I plan to transfer to a four-year institution. How do I know which courses will transfer? At MCCC, students can earn the first two years of a bachelors degree and select courses that transfer to four-year institutions. The appropriate courses depend on the program of study and the four-year college or university where students intend to obtain a bachelors degree. MCCC works with area four-year institutions to develop transfer guides and equivalency lists. Transfer guides are specific to individual programs and explain which courses must be taken at MCCC.
