  Distance Learning Support Services

Help Desk Services: Help desk services are available for students in distance learning classes or traditional face-to-face classes utilizing Blackboard course delivery system. Contact the Distance Education Assistant at 734-384-4328 or by email at jyarger@monroeccc.edu.
Library: Library databases are available to current MCCC students off-campus. To link to library databases from off-campus you must have a valid library card. A librarian is available for reference assistance through email at askalibrarian@monroeccc.edu.
Learning Assistance Lab (Tutoring Services): Tutoring assistance is available in nearly every MCCC subject area. Student tutors and Faculty Specialists work with students both individually and in small study groups on main campus. Appointments may be made in person in the LAL (C-218) or by telephone at 734-384-4167 or 1-877-Yes-MCCC.
Writing Center: Any student currently enrolled at MCCC may submit his or her writing via email to the Writing Center for tutoring. While students are encouraged to work through all stages of the writing process from prewriting to a final draft, the Writing Center only provides electronic tutoring for an actual draft of a paper. More information can be found on the Writing Center web page.
Regional Computer Technology Center for Test Proctoring: A test proctor may be needed for some exams in distance learning courses. To arrange for a test proctor, contact the RCTC lab at 734-384-4144.
Advising: Academic advising is a process facilitated by trained MCCC counselors and full-time faculty to assist students with educational and career planning and academic choices. Email based online advising is available at www.monroeccc.edu/forms/online_advising.htm.
