POLICY ON LATE WORK:

DRAWING PROBLEMS:  Drawing problems are due on the day of the tests.  No late work accepted.  Drawing problems may be turned in before the test day, thus allowing the opportunity to resubmit problems with corrections made.

TESTS:  Test dates are listed on the assignment sheet.  A test may be rescheduled by prior arrangement only.  Makeup tests are not allowed once the class meets again.

ATTENDANCE:

Attendance will be taken at the beginning of each class session.  In the event of an absence, it is the student's responsibility to make sure he/she is caught up with the work and material covered prior to the next class session.  After three absences, each additional absence will result in a 50 point deduction.  Tardiness is recorded as an absence.

WITHDRAWAL POLICY:

A student may withdraw from a full semester course via WebPal, SMART, or in person, up to and including the twelfth week of the semester.  No withdrawal will be processed after that date.  The withdrawal deadline is prorated for any course less (or more) than the full semester.  In specific, it is the student's responsibility to drop a course.  No "instructor drops" will be initiated.

ACADEMIC DISHONESTY:

The policy set forth by Monroe County Community College for academic dishonesty will be strictly enforced.  The following statement is only a small part of the academic dishonesty policy.  For more information, refer to the College Catalog.

DISCIPLINARY PROCEDURE
Any act of academic dishonesty will place the student in jeopardy of suspension from the college.

1. All acts of academic dishonesty, as based on instructor’s determination of probable cause*, and following a review with the appropriate division chair, shall be reported in writing to the Dean of Student Services.

* Probable cause - reason to believe, based on reliable information, that academic dishonesty has occurred and that a particular student has committed an act of academic dishonesty.

STATEMENT FROM THE LEARNING ASSISTANCE LAB:

Students enrolled in career programs may be eligible for additional academic support services.  For more information contact the Learning Assistance Lab at (734) 384-4407.
