POLICY ON LATE WORK:
REVIEW QUESTIONS: Review
questions are due at the beginning of each class session as listed on the
assignment sheet. Review questions are graded on completion and classroom participation. If
absent, only one-half the possible points can be earned by completing the
review questions.
QUIZZES: Quiz dates are listed on
the assignment sheet. A quiz may be rescheduled by prior
arrangement only. Makeup quizzes are not allowed once the class
meets again.
DRAWING PROJECTS: Project due dates are listed
on the assignment sheet. Each project is due at the beginning of the
specified class session. For each class session a project is late,
10 percent will be deducted:
ATTENDANCE:
Attendance will be taken at
the beginning of each class
session. In the event of an absence, it is the student's responsibility to make sure he/she is caught up with
the work and material covered prior to the next class session.
After three absences, each additional absence will result in a 50 point
deduction. Tardiness is recorded as an absence.
WITHDRAWAL POLICY:
A student may withdraw from a full semester course via WebPal, SMART, or
in person, up to and including the twelfth week of the semester. No
withdrawal will be processed after that date. The withdrawal
deadline is prorated for any course less (or more) than the full semester.
In specific, it is the student's responsibility to drop a course. No
"instructor drops" will be initiated.
ACADEMIC DISHONESTY:
The policy set forth by Monroe County Community College for academic dishonesty will be
strictly enforced. The following statement is only a small part of the academic dishonesty
policy. For more information, refer to the College Catalog.
DISCIPLINARY PROCEDURE
Any act of academic dishonesty will place the student in jeopardy of suspension from the
college.
1. All acts of academic dishonesty, as based on instructors determination of
probable cause*, and following a review with the appropriate division chair, shall be
reported in writing to the Dean of Student Services.
* Probable cause - reason to believe, based on reliable information, that academic
dishonesty has occurred and that a particular student has committed an act of academic
dishonesty.
STATEMENT FROM THE LEARNING ASSISTANCE LAB:
Students enrolled in career programs may be
eligible for additional academic support services. For more
information contact the Learning Assistance Lab at (734) 384-4407.
