Welcome to RADIO BROADCASTING at Monroe County Community College. Courses in Radio are designed to give every student the opportunity to experience the operations of a real radio station.  Under the guidance of an instructor with over twenty years experience working at a three station cluster in the Detroit market, by the end of the course sequence students will know what it takes to be successful in the broadcasting industry.
  
In addition to learning the operations of a radio station, students participate in the promotion of our community and non-profit organizations by producing and airing local public service announcements and live remote broadcasts.  Because Dream 97-5, WYDM, is the only locally programmed radio station licensed to Monroe, students have the satisfaction of knowing they played a role in serving the needs of our community.
