Chapter
Thirteen
Institutional Planning
|
|
Strengths
- The College has the structure, people,
and finances to produce and support an effective Institutional Plan.
- The planning process provides both structure
and flexiblity, allowing the opportunity for campus-wide involvement.
- There are adequate resources to support
the financial requirements of the plan and reserves to address any immediate
needs.
Challenges
- The College must continually assess
the effectiveness of the planning process by communicating planning
themes to faculty and staff and by promoting faculty and staff participation
in development, assessment, and support.
- Because the planning process takes place
over several months, it is sometimes a challenge to maintain focused
involvement by employees.
- Research data must be used to support
decision making at MCCC.
