Executive Summary
of Institutional Self-Study
NCA Visit • 1999-2000
TO THE MCCC COMMUNITY:

In October of 1998, our College community embarked on a comprehensive Self-Study process. Coordinated by the North Central Committee, the task was broken into 13 subcommittees who devoted countless hours of research and evaluation to produce the final report. Over 150 representatives from our faculty, staff, Board of Trustees, students, and community were directly involved in the Self-Study process.

On September 20 - 22, five North Central Association Consultant/Evaluators will visit our campus to evaluate our request for continued accreditation. In preparation for their visit, they will have read our Self-Study Report and reviewed additional information that we have provided to them. During their three-day visit, they will validate the information that we have provided to them in the Self-Study and make a recommendation on our accreditation status.

This document is the Executive Summary of our North Central Self-Study. It includes the College's strengths and challenges as identified in each of the five NCA Criteria. In preparation for our Site Visit, I encourage each of you to become familiar with our Self-Study and be ready to respond to the team member's questions.

Warmest regards,

Gerald Welch
President
