Nursing: LPN to RN Online Program
General Information

Licensed practical nurses may choose to complete the associate degree of applied science in nursing by enrolling in the online nursing program available to Michigan and Northwest Ohio residents only. This program is offered by Monroe County Community College in conjunction with the Michigan Community College Virtual Learning Collaborative (MCCVLC). The workload is heavy each week, with frequent assignment deadlines.  Working knowledge of computers and online computer use is required. Also, access to an up to date computer system with Internet connection is imperative. See the MCCVLC website (www.mccvlc.org) for an Admission Application and detailed information about the program.

Successful completion of the full program and the A.A.S. degree will allow graduates to be eligible to
take NCLEX-RN, the licensing examination to practice as a registered nurse. The Michigan State
Board of Nursing determines eligibility for licensure, not MCCC.
