Substance Abuse Policies
|
MCCC has a zero tolerance policy for substance abuse/use while in the nursing program. MCCC reserves the right to drug test nursing students whose behavior or other conduct makes staff suspect substance abuse. Specific policies are listed in the Nursing Student Handbook. Policies are in effect for all students admitted and active in the nursing program. Also, some agencies used for clinical experiences are initiating random drug testing for staff and students assigned to their agency. Refusal to allow mandatory or requested drug testing in the clinical agency will result in immediate program dismissal and potential college disciplinary actions. If you do not understand this warning, please talk to a college counselor or to the Dean of Health Sciences. |
