Before you start Note: We recommend that you run Windows XP Service Pack 2 with the latest drivers for your wireless card that supports Wi-Fi Protected Access (WPA). If you wish to connect with a different type of system you will need to check with the hardware provider to make sure that it will support Wi-Fi Protected Access (WPA) security over the wireless and how to set the system up to use the wireless and WPA.
When you first start up your system you should get a popup in the lower right hand corner of your system similar to this one.
By simply right clicking the wireless icon you will get a menu like this one which you will want to select the View Available Wireless Networks option.
This will bring up a new window similar to this one you will want to double click the MONROECCC-BG network.
You should now be confronted with a Network key box. The network key is monroeccc all in lower case you will have to type this in a second time in the confirm box.
After that is typed in you will not see monroeccc as it is considered a password and for security it will have circles.
Once you have connected you should see a box similar to this where MONROECCC_BG is connected. This portion of the connection should only need to be done once as your system should save the information for future use. After that you can open a web browser.
