Monroe County Community College’s Upward Bound Program has PT Tutor position available. Responsibilities involve providing academic assistance in Science area for 1-3 days per week. Provides supplemental instruction including proper study skills to students in individual and group settings. Qualifications include Bachelor’s Degree and valid Michigan Teaching Certificate with proper endorsement. Located at Airport High School; Monday-Wednesday from 2:30-4:30pm; $25.00 per hour. PT APPLIED SCIENCE and ENGINEERING TECHNOLOGY INSTRUCTORS

Part-time Instructors needed in the Applied Science and Engineering Technology Division in the areas of 1). Welding (all processes) 2). Non-destructive testing (Radiography immediate need) 3). Construction Management 4) Electronics (Motor Control, AC/DC Machines) 5). CAD (Unigraphics, Catia) and 6). Metrology (CMM programming and use of metrology equipment). Qualifications include Associate of Science degree, Bachelors of Science degree preferred. Work experience in the respective area listed above required. Prior teaching experience preferred. Professional Staff Positions

AUTO SERVICE PROGRAM COORDINATOR

Under the direction of the Dean of Applied Sciences and Engineering Technology (ASET) Division, the Coordinator provides leadership for the Auto Service program, adjunct faculty and students. The candidate will assist with launching of the Auto Service program consistent with MAST requirement of ASE/NATEF standards and directing, developing, and implementing daily operation of Auto Service program including general, administration and program curriculum. Qualifications include, Bachelor’s degree required from an accredited college or university; Associate of Applied Science degree in Automotive Service with work experience preferred; Master’s degree preferred. Three or more years of work experience in the Auto Service or related field required. Knowledge of ASE/NATEF accreditation standards required. Must possess ASE/MLR (G1) certification or capable of being certified within first six months of hire. In addition, must possess ASE/ALT (A1-A9) certification, in at least 3-4 areas of which A6 (Electrical/Electronic Systems) is required or capable of being certified within first year of hire. Teaching experience at a community or secondary level preferred. Base salary $64,078; complete benefit package. Immediate review of applications and continues until filled. ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT

Position in The Foundation/Marketing Communications Office at MCCC responsible for providing administrative and clerical support to the respective Executive Director/Director and department. Manages database; performs accounting and bookkeeping functions; and assists in coordinating of all marketing-related events. Minimum qualifications include Associate’s degree in business administration, office management, or related field; three years of experience as an administrative assistant; demonstrated administrative and organizational skills; skill and proficiency in use of computers/related software; knowledge of basic bookkeeping and accounting practices and procedures; and ability to work with diverse groups of people.
