Humanities Instructor
Humanities/Social Sciences Division

Classroom instruction in a variety of journalism/media classes. Primary responsibility will be to teach Introduction to Journalism and the Journalism Workshops that produce the campus newspaper, The Agora. Second specialization is open. The ability to collaborate with a broadcast media curriculum and engagement in the College’s Media Advisory committee are expected. Other responsibilities and duties will include participating in Division-wide program and curriculum planning and assessment of student learning outcomes.  Preparing instructional strategies and materials to meet the needs of the students including the revision, planning and development of courses and course delivery methods. Utilization of distance learning and online strategies will be encouraged. As an integral member of the Division, the individual is expected to develop effective collegial relationships, and work closely with students and local employers, and promote division programs and the College in general.

Part-time Faculty Positions

PT HEALTH SCIENCES INSTRUCTOR
  
The Heath Sciences Division at Monroe County Community College has an opportunity for a part-time faculty member to teach Pharmacology (RTH 220) for Respiratory Therapists in the Spring/Summer 2008 semester. Two credit hour class meets on Tuesdays for 3 hours beginning Tuesday, May13, 2008 at the Monroe campus.  The course is in the Respiratory Therapy Program.

Candidates must possess a minimum of a Bachelor's degree in pharmacology, pharmacy or related clinical field such as respiratory care; Master's degree and/or clinical experience with medication delivery preferred.  Starting salary is up to $36.23 per contact hour. PT NURSING INSTRUCTORS

Instructor needed to teach online class, Personal Health (HPE 150).  Requirements include bachelor's degree in Physical Education, Health Education or a related field; must be able to teach online. Class begins May 12 through June 21.
 
First Aid and Safety (HPE 151) instructor needed to teach at the Whitman Center (Temperance). Requirements include Certified First Aid instructor by the American Red Cross; CPR Instructor (Adult, child and Infant); and AED Certified. Class begins May 12 through June 21, meets Monday and Wednesday from 12:00 - 2:25pm.

Upward Bound Program at Monroe County Community College seeks applicants for the 2008 Summer Program. Serves as mentor to participants in grades 9-12, provides academic assistance/tutoring, and assists in planning enriching/fun activities. Qualifications include currently enrolled in college in good academic standing; one year of college completed, two years preferred; must possess strong leadership qualities; ability to function as team player; and ability to work with a multicultural population.
