PT FRENCH or SPANISH TUTORS

The Learning Assistance Lab at Monroe County Community College seeks part-time tutors (adjunct faculty status) to work with students enrolled in Elementary French I and II or Elementary Spanish I and II. Master's degree from accredited institution in the target language or an MEd with specialization in the target language. Applicants currently enrolled in a master’s level program in French or Spanish will be considered. Candidates must have native or near-native fluency in French and English or Spanish and English.  Experience tutoring and/or working with secondary, post secondary and adult students preferred. Ability to tutor in additional disciplinary areas desirable. Day, evening and weekend hours required. Approximately 5-8 hours weekly. Scheduling for this position reflects an academic calendar of September-May. September, 2014 start date desired. Positions open until filled. Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred. Applicants currently enrolled in a master’s level program in reading or composition will be considered. Strong knowledge, skills and background in reading and English language arts skills preferred. Experience tutoring and/or working with post secondary and adult students preferred. Ability to tutor in additional disciplinary areas desirable. Day, evening and weekend hours required. Approximately 5-8 hours weekly. Computer Information Systems – Database Management

Computer Information Systems, specifically in the area of Database Management Systems. Minimum qualifications include: Master’s degree in appropriate CIS or business field with 12 credit hours of graduate coursework in CIS related areas; two years directly related experience in the Database Administration field; experience with database systems, including design, development, implementation and management; and experience with MySQL and assorted database software & programming tools required. Classroom teaching experience, preferably in a collegiate setting highly desired.

AUTO SERVICE PROGRAM COORDINATOR

Under the direction of the Dean of Applied Sciences and Engineering Technology (ASET) Division, the Coordinator provides leadership for the Auto Service program, adjunct faculty and students. The candidate will assist with launching of the Auto Service program consistent with MAST requirement of ASE/NATEF standards and directing, developing, and implementing daily operation of Auto Service program including general, administration and program curriculum. Qualifications include, Bachelor’s degree required from an accredited college or university; Associate of Applied Science degree in Automotive Service with work experience preferred; Master’s degree preferred. Three or more years of work experience in the Auto Service or related field required. Knowledge of ASE/NATEF accreditation standards required. Must possess credentials as ASE Certified Technician at the MAST level as defined by ASE/NATEF standards. Teaching experience at a community or secondary level preferred.

Balances all financial aid accounts and prepares data for reports, audits and applications. Qualifications include Associates degree in business administration, accounting, bookkeeping, or related field; one or more years experience in Financial Aid; knowledge of federal and state financial aid regulations and procedures; and skill in responding to internal and external inquiries.
