MCCC to Host Law Enforcement Forum on ‘Protecting Our Communities’

Sheriff Candidate Uhl, State Police Lt. Cuevas to Join MCCC President Quartey at Discussion 

MONROE, Mich. – Monroe County Community College will host a forum on law enforcement and safety entitled “Protecting our Communities” on Monday, August 1 at 2 p.m. in atrium of the La-Z-Boy Center.

The La-Z-Boy Center is located on MCCC's Main Campus at 1555 S. Raisinville Rd. in Monroe.

The forum will be hosted by MCCC President Dr. Kojo A. Quartey and will feature Dave Uhl, a veteran law enforcement officer and Dundee village manager who is running for Monroe County sheriff, and First Lt. Tony Cuevas of the Michigan State Police, Monroe Branch.

The panel discussion is part of the Culture and Current Affairs Speakers Series sponsored by MCCC, which features community members and MCCC faculty, staff, students and alumni with expertise on a variety of cultural, political or social topics of importance and interest at the present time.
