MCCC’S STATE OF THE COLLEGE ADDRESS
TO THE COMMUNITY SET FOR OCTOBER 30

MONROE, Mich. – Monroe County Community College President Dr. Kojo A. Quartey will present the State of the College Address to the Community on October 30 from 7:30-9 a.m. in the Audrey M. Warrick Student Services Building on MCCC’s Main Campus.

The event, which is open to the public, will be held in Room 173abcd.  MCCC’s Main campus is located at 1555 S. Raisinville Rd. in Monroe. 

Quartey, the fifth president of MCCC, will complete completed his fourth full year in office over the summer.
Among the topics Quartey will cover at the address will be:

  • New academic endeavors, including credit programs in agriculture and automotive services, a noncredit Emergency Medical Technician program and the region’s Cybersecurity Center;
  • Grants awarded to MCCC in the areas of agriculture and welding, as well as for a Workforce Development Skills Bootcamp for Adult Learners and an additional Upward Bound program; and
  • The status of 5-year Maintenance and Improvement Millage projects.
