MCCC KICKS OFF SELF-STUDY PROCESS
FOR ANOTHER 10-YEAR ACCREDITATION

MONROE, Mich. – Monroe County Community College has formally kicked off its campus-wide Higher Learning Commission Self-Study report process with the goal of another 10-year HLC accreditation beginning in the fall of 2009.

The college’s HLC Self-Study Steering Committee is comprised of 30 individuals representing a cross section of campus constituencies. These steering team members are leading ten subcommittees consisting of more than 130 individuals who have volunteered to be actively involved in the college’s HLC accreditation process. These volunteers represent all areas of campus life, such as maintenance personnel, support staff, administrators, faculty, students and the Board of Trustees.

The co-chairs of the HLC Self-Study Steering Committee are Dr. David Waggoner, professor of chemistry, and Suzanne Wetzel, director of institutional advancement and executive director of The Foundation at MCCC.
