IT’S MCCC BUFFET SEASON AGAIN

First Cuisine1300 Buffet Friday at ‘Old Mill’; Remainder to be Held on Campus

MONROE, Mich. – Monroe County Community College’s Chef Kevin Thomas and his second year culinary skills and management students will hold the 2008 Winter Season Cuisine 1300 Buffets over the next few weeks.

The first buffet is a special event Friday at the Old Mill Museum in Dundee that is being held in conjunction with the Smithsonian exhibit, “Key Ingredients - Michigan Foodways.”  The buffet will feature unique, “home-style”-inspired delicacies from the state of Michigan.  It begins at 11:30 a.m., and tickets are $20.

The remaining buffets will all be held on MCCC’s Main Campus in the Dining Room of the Warrick Student Services/Administration Building.  Buffet dates, along with the corresponding food type offered, are listed below.  Each buffet begins at 11:30 a.m., and tickets are $18.

  • Thursday, March 20:  Mediterranean
  • Friday, March 28:  South of the Equator
  • Friday, April 11:  Islands of the World
  • Friday, April 18:  World Wide B-B-Q
  • Friday, April 25: American Regional
