MCCC SEEKING ACTS FOR FIRST COLLAGE CONCERT

MONROE, Mich. – Monroe County Community College is seeking musical performers for the college’s first-ever Collage Concert. Slated for February 18, 2008, the concert will feature a variety of musical talents showcased in fast-paced, multi-stage format. The concert, hosted by the College/Community Symphony Band and Agora Chorale, is scheduled to be held at the La-Z-Boy Center, Meyer Theater.

“The Collage Concert concept is new to Monroe audiences,” said Mark Felder, director for the  College/Community Symphony Band. “But I believe it will be a must-see event for anyone who enjoys quality musical acts performing in a unique style and setting.”

Musical acts interested in participating in the concert should be able to perform in a classical concert setting. Dance and theater acts are welcome to audition; however, they are required to incorporate live music into their performance. The deadline to audition is January 7, 2008.
