DINGELL TO HOST TOWN HALL MEETING AT MCCC

State of Health Care in U.S. to be Discussed

MONROE, Mich. – U.S. Rep. John Dingell, D-Dearborn, will host a town hall meeting at Monroe County Community College on Wednesday, August 29 to discuss the state of the health care system in the United States.

The discussion, scheduled for 2:30 p.m., will take place in the college’s Welch Health Education Building, which is located on the college’s Main Campus at 1555 South Raisinville Rd.

Dingell will meet with members of the community to discuss how the current health care system affects the well being of individuals and our economy, as well as what reforms need to be pursued.

He will provide details on his programs to:

  • Expand and increase health insurance coverage for children
  • Make health care more affordable
  • Provide Medicare for all
  • Save American jobs

Dingell will also meet with MCCC respiratory therapy and nursing students and will visit an open house hosted by the college’s Child Care Center, which is affiliated with the Head Start Program of Monroe County and is located in the HEB.
