MCCC HOSTS DUAL ENROLLMENT INFO SESSIONS
MONROE and TEMPERANCE, Mich. – Monroe County Community College has scheduled two Dual Enrollment Night informational sessions.
The sessions will provide insight about dual enrollment, the program that allows high school students to attend MCCC classes and earn college credit while still attending high school.
The first session will be held on April 30 at 6 p.m. in the La-Z-Boy Center, which is located on the college’s main campus at 1555 S. Raisinville Rd. in Monroe. The second session will take place on May 6 at 6 p.m. at the Whitman Center in Temperance. The Whitman Center is located at 7777 Lewis Ave.
All Monroe County high school students and their parents or guardians – as well as teachers, counselors and administrators – are invited to attend.
Each session will highlight the steps necessary for dual enrollment, recommended courses and what students can expect from their college classes. Additional topics will include the differences between high school and college procedures, informational and technical preparation and the pros and cons of dual enrollment.
