MCCC AWARDS THE EDUCATION PLUS
CREDIT UNION SCHOLARSHIP

MONROE, Mich. – Monroe County Community College has awarded the Education Plus Credit Union Scholarship to Chelsea Brennan, Katherine Brimm, Rebecca Thornton, and Todd Whipple, all of Monroe. The scholarship, in the amount of $500, is to be used for tuition, fees, books, and supplies.

Brennan is a 2007 graduate of Monroe High School and is majoring in psychology. He was a member of the National Honor Society, Pep Club and Spanish Club. She received the Michigan Merit and the American Citizenship Awards. She is the daughter of Lynn and Thomas Brennan.

Brimm is a 2007 graduate of Monroe High School, and is majoring in Administrative Professional. She is a volunteer for Relay for Life and Habitat for Humanity. She is the daughter of Tonya Brimm.

Thornton graduated from Monroe High School in 2007 and is majoring in psychology. She was a member of DECA, Health Occupations Students of America, the Pep Club, Anatomy Club, Advanced Placement Statistics Club, Teen Outreach Theater and the Moose Awareness Program. She was on the Honor Roll and received an Academic Excellence Award. She is the daughter of Ronald and JoAnn Thornton.

Whipple is a 2006 graduate of Mason Senior High School and resides in Erie.
