FEATURE FILM PRODUCED BY MONROE
NATIVE TO BE SCREENED AT MCCC
Fallen Angels to be shown in the Meyer Theater at 7:30 p.m. Friday
MONROE, Mich. – Fallen Angels, a horror film written and produced by Monroe native Jeff Thomas, will be screened at Monroe County Community College’s La-Z-Boy Center, Meyer Theater on Friday, December 5 at 7:30 p.m.
Tickets for the screening are $7 and will be available at the door. Fallen Angels is not rated but is intended for mature audiences only.
The film, which is being distributed in the U.S. and Canada by Warner Bros., focuses on a grisly discovery that is made when a turn-of-the-century prison reformatory is slated for demolition.
Hidden deep underground beneath the west cell block is a sub-basement structure that has not been entered in 100 years. Inside are the skeletal remains from several murders. As a CSI team arrives at the prison, an even more disturbing discovery is made that will eventually unveil a legion of seven demons and their even more chilling origins: each demon is responsible for one of the seven deadly sins.
Fallen Angels is a Zermak/Pirkle Production and stars Michael Dorn, Adrianne Curry Bill Mosley and Kevin McCarthy.
Thomas is a Telly award-winning television commercial producer, as well as a seasoned writer and award-winning feature film director.
His first feature, the indie hit 13 Seconds, won numerous accolades and awards, including Best Feature at the New York International Film Festival, Best Feature from the Fantastic Festival of Films held in the UK and awarded by bestselling author Ramsey Campbell, Best Picture and Best Horror Picture from the Bare Bones International Film Festival and Best Independent Feature from the Calgary International Film Festival. The film has played over 30 domestic and international film festivals.
