MCCC AWARDS THE HERB KEHRL
MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP

MONROE, Mich. – Monroe County Community College has awarded the Herb Kehrl Memorial Scholarship to Timothy A. Fuerstenberg.  The $250 award can be used for tuition and fees.

Fuerstenberg is resident of Carleton and a 2007 graduate of Airport High School.  He plans to transfer to Wayne State University and study law.

Established in memory of State Representative Herb Kehrl, the scholarship is awarded to a student who is:

• Majoring in political science, history or education
• Enrolled in a minimum of six credit hours per semester at MCCC
• A resident of the 56th District of the State House of Representatives
• A public, non-charter school graduate
• A first- or second-year student
