SOCIETY OF MANUFACTURING ENGINEERS
TO HOLD CHAPTER MEETING AT MCCC

ABB Robotics, North America VP to Speak

MONROE, Mich. – The Downriver chapter of the Society of Manufacturing Engineers will hold its chapter meeting at Monroe County Community College on Thursday.
           
The meeting, scheduled for 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., will take place in the in Room 257 of the La-Z-Boy Center, which is located on the college’s Main Campus at 1555 South Raisinville Rd.
           
The guest speaker will be Joe Campbell, vice president of sales and marketing for ABB Robotics, North America.  Campbell’s topic of discussion will be “The Business Case for Flexible Automation: Economic Justification and Economic Realities.”
                       
ABB is a global leader in power and automation technologies that enable utility and industry customers to improve their performance while lowering environmental impact 
        
The meeting is free and open to the public.  There will also be opportunities for students to join the newly established student chapter of SME at MCCC and the college’s robotics team.
