One Book, One Community of Monroe County 2023

OBOC LogoWelcome back to another year of our One Book, One Community program! This year's featured book The River is the story of Wynn and Jack’s long-awaited canoe trip along the Maskwa River through the northern Canadian wilderness. The leisure excursion the best friends imagined quickly turns into a desperate struggle to survive an ever-encroaching forest fire, whitewater, and violence. Thrilling and fast-paced, the book is also realistic and detailed. Some critics have compared this outdoor survival adventure to masterpieces like Into the Wild by Jon Krakauer and The Call of the Wild by Jack London.

Join us during the month of March!
