PLACEMENT TEST

The Placement test is an untimed, computerized assessment test that helps to evaluate your skills in reading, writing and math and is used by MCCC’s counselors to assist in course selection.

The Placement test should be taken seriously.  We recommend taking practice tests at one of the following sites before attempting the Placement test: Study Helps for the Placement Test

https://accuplacer.collegeboard.org/students ACCUPLACER tests your knowledge in math, reading, and writing. You can prepare for ACCUPLACER by taking advantage of the study tools and resources offered. Use these tools to become familiar with the types and format of ACCUPLACER test questions. They can help you identify the academic areas where you may need a little help, and prepare to improve.

A PHOTO ID IS REQUIRED TO TAKE THE PLACEMENT TEST

Placement testing is offered at two locations:
At the Main Campus, Regional Computer Technology Center (RCTC) W-Building, Room 157
Call: 734-384-4255 to confirm schedule

At the Whitman Center, Business Learning Lab, Room 1
Call: 734-847-0559 to confirm schedule

Upon completion of the placement test, please call 734-384-4104 to schedule an appointment with an academic counselor to review your placement scores.

If you are to re-take the placement test, you will need to present a note from a counselor to the testing proctor that gives you permission to do this.
