Registration Process for New Students

Getting Started Is Easy

Five easy steps to become an MCCC student.

STEP 1 - Complete an MCCC Application for Admission. You can receive an application by:

  • Calling (734) 384-4104, or the Whitman Center (734) 847-0559 or
  • Visiting the Admissions Office in Building A on the MCCC main campus or the Whitman center; or
  • Submit an application online from our web site (www.monroeccc.edu).

STEP 2 - Apply for financial aid. There is a wide variety of resources available to students, however, it is recommended that you apply as early as possible. You can get started by:

STEP 3 - Request official high school transcripts or GED scores; and if applicable, request official transcripts from all prior colleges and universities that you have attended. Have the transcripts sent directly to MCCC.

STEP 4 - Participate in our student-friendly placement testing process.  Placement testing is required of all new students who have earned fewer than 12 semester hours from another college or university.  Students who have taken the ACT with scores of 18 or higher on the math, reading, and English portions are not required to take the placement test. You can start this process by:

  • Calling (734) 384-4104, or
  • Calling (734) 847-0559 (Whitman Center)

STEP 5 - Schedule an appointment with a counselor.  This is a required step because the counselor will help you choose your classes, explain how to register, and schedule a new student orientation session.

You can schedule an appointment by:

  • Calling (734) 384-4104.
  • Calling (734) 847-0559 (Whitman Center)
