Mai Xiong photoMai Xiong (pronounced My Song) was elected in 2020 as Macomb County Commissioner in District 2 (Warren and Center Line).

Xiong is of Hmong descent and was born in a refugee camp in Thailand in 1984. Xiong and her family moved to Ohio in 1987.

She was accepted to the College for Creative Studies and moved to Warren in 2003. Xiong graduated with her Bachelor of Fine Arts in 2007. She has worked in the advertising, marketing and web development industries for over 15 years.

In 2018, Xiong built an e-commerce website and founded the modern Hmong American clothing brand Mai&Co. The company quickly grew out of her home and in 2019, Mai&Co opened its first storefront at East Twelve Mile Road in Warren.

Xiong is married to her best friend Adam Kue and together they have four children. She currently serves as a board member of the Macomb Food Program and Rising Voices.
