MONROE, Mich. – Multiple Emmy Award-winner Louie Anderson will bring his stand-up comedy act to Monroe County Community College’s La-Z-Boy Center on Saturday, March 10.
One of the country’s most recognized comics, Anderson was named by Comedy Central as one of 100 Greatest Stand-up Comedians of All Time. He is also an accomplished actor and best-selling author.
He stars in the hit FX series, “Baskets.” His performance as the mother of Zach Galifinakis’s character won him an Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series and a Critics’ Choice Award for Best Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series.
During Anderson’s 30-year career, he has guest-starred in television shows like “Grace Under Fire” and “Chicago Hope.” He also appeared in 1980s feature films like “Coming to America” with Eddie Murphy and “Ferris Bueller’s Day Off" with Matthew Broderick.
The show will begin at 7:30 p.m. The La-Z-Boy Center is located on the Main Campus, 1555 S. Raisinville Rd., Monroe.
Reserved seating is $25 and $35 for VIP seating, which includes balcony seating, munchies and cash bar.
