This site, a collection of Civil War letters, and classic Monroe photographs, was made possible by a grant from the Monroe County Historical Society and permission to reproduce materials from the Monroe County Historical Commission. The Society, the Commission, and Monroe County Community College collaborated on this project in the interest of preserving and disseminating Monroe County History.
