Need help getting started?
Through the Husky Portal, you’ll gain access to your Email, Brightspace, and Self-Service accounts—all with a single sign-on, meaning access to all three services with one password, whether you login via the portal or directly to each service.
The document and written instructions walks you through setting up your Husky Portal, authenticator method for the first time and downloading Microsoft Office 365, which is available for all enrolled students.
Husky Portal & Microsoft 365 How To Instructions
Microsoft Office 365
Download Microsoft Office while logged into your college email account. Only enrolled students during session have access to the Microsoft Office download.
- While in your college outlook email.
- Click on the 9-dots in the upper left corner, then click on Microsoft 365 copilot, then click on Apps.
- The apps window opens, on the upper right side click on Install Apps Link, then click on Microsoft 365 apps, Install Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and more.
- My account screen opens, click on Install Office, and follow the prompts.
To return to your Outlook email, click on the 9-dots in the upper left, then click on Outlook.
Self-Service Password Reset (SSPR) and Multi-Factor Authentication
Available for all students. Self-Service Password Reset will allow you to reset or change your password on your own, similar to how you would reset your password for banking or other services you may use. Multi-Factor Authentication will be required for all logins if you are not physically on campus.
Upon first login, you will be required to set up at least one authentication method.
NOTE: Once you have at least one authentication method set up on your account, the requirement for both SSPR and MFA will be satisfied.
