The MCCC Student Government is happy to announce the winners of the Name the Husky Contest!
Two MCCC students, Lillian Baker and Larissa Coleman, submitted the winning name as voted on by the students and staff. Both will receive a $50 Amazon Gift Card!
Lillian picked the name because Koda means "Friend" in Sioux (a Native American tribe) and is short for Dakoda. As the name means friend, she thought it would be perfect because MCCC is a place to make new friends and a place where you feel welcome. She hopes any student, new or old, knows they have a friend at MCCC!
Larissa picked the name Koda because it means “friend and it just always sounded good to her. She submitted the name because MCCC is a place where she make friends.
