Next Steps for New Students

studentsFirst-time College Students

  1. Celebrate your acceptance to Monroe County Community College!
  2. Log in and set up your Email and MyWebPal accounts.
    Your default email password is your student id number found in your welcome email. Your default MyWebPal password is your 6 digit birthdate (i.e. 030405).  You will be required to create a new password immediately upon login. The new password must be 6-9 lowercase letters and numbers, no names, no uppercase, and no symbols.
  3. Send us your official transcripts and test scores, if applicable.
  • Please request that any official high school transcripts, official college transcripts and ACT/SAT scores be submitted to the Admissions Office. 
  • High school transcripts and ACT/SAT test scores can be sent to: admissions@monroeccc.edu.
  1. Complete placement testing by contacting the Testing Center at (734) 384-4144 or emailing Karen Kuhl at kkuhl@monroeccc.edu.
  2. Select a New Student Orientation and Registration date.

  3. Get your financial aid in order.

File your FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) online at StudentAid.gov to determine your eligibility for grants, loans, scholarships and work-study.

File soon! It takes a minimum of a few weeks to process financial aid for new students.

  1. Meet with a counselor and register for classes.  Contact the Admissions Office at (734) 384-4108 to schedule an appointment.
  2. Log in & Set up your Brightspace account the day after you register.
  3. Get your financial aid in order.
