Next Steps for New Students

First-time College Students

1. Celebrate your acceptance to Monroe County Community College!
2. Log in and set up your Email and MyWebPal accounts. Your default password is:
   andy student 02/15/1998 0123456
   lower-case first initial of their first name, lower-case first initial of their last name, their whole year of birth, 7-digit student ID number.

3. Send us your official transcripts and test scores, if applicable.

• Please request that any official high school transcripts, official college transcripts and ACT/SAT scores be submitted to the Admissions Office. 
• High school transcripts and ACT/SAT test scores can be sent to: admissions@monroeccc.edu.

4. Complete placement testing by contacting the Testing Center at (734) 384-4255.
5. Select a New Student Orientation and Registration date.  Please note:  These sessions are only for students who have not attended college before or who are graduating in 2024 and have dual enrolled while in high school.  If you are a transfer or returning student, please scroll be down for your next steps.
   ***Orientations are open to the student and one guest
   ****If you select a date that is full, please select another available date below
   **The orientations below are for students who would like to attend in the Summer Semester.  Dates for Fall students will be posted after May 12.

   Thursday, March 28 from 10AM – 12PM - Register 

   Tuesday, April 9 from 10AM – 12PM - Register 

   Tuesday, April 23 from 2PM – 4PM - Register 

   Thursday, May 9 from 2PM – 4PM -  Register 

6. Get your financial aid in order.

File your FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) online at StudentAid.gov to determine your eligibility for grants, loans, scholarships and work-study.

Transfer Students

4. Meet with a counselor and register for classes.  Contact the Admissions Office at (734) 384-4104 to schedule an appointment.
5. Log in & Set up your Brightspace account the day after you register.
6. Get your financial aid in order.
