Curriculum/Degree Requirements

The associate of applied science degree in business management is designed to provide the student with a general background in business and an awareness of the organizational and environmental changes that continually challenge management.

Although this program is a two-year occupational program designed to prepare students for employment, many four-year colleges and universities will accept much of this curriculum in transfer. Please see a counselor in the Office of Admissions and Guidance for details.

Business - MI Transfer Curriculum

The MiTransfer Pathways builds on the Michigan Transfer Agreement (MTA). The MTA allows transfer students to select designated courses to complete a minimum of 30 credit hours fulfilling MTA distribution requirements. 

PROGRAM OUTCOMES

Upon successful completion of all degree requirements, graduates of this program should be able to:

  • Demonstrate a broad understanding of the U.S. business environment
  • Demonstrate understanding of marketing principles
  • Demonstrate understanding of basic management functions
  • Demonstrate understanding of global business
  • Demonstrate understanding of human resource management principles 
  • Demonstrate understanding of macroeconomic and microeconomic principles
