Thanks to the MiLEAP State Initiative Grant, Monroe County Community College and the University of Michigan-Flint are partnering to offer an exclusive funding opportunity this Fall 2025 and Spring 2026.This is your chance to advance your nursing career and receive a scholarship to cover the tuition of two RN to BSN courses valued at $1, 700+ for each course.
Who is eligible?
- Concurrent MCCC students working toward an ADN at MCCC and BSN at UM-Flint
- Alumni from MCCC’s nursing program
- Michigan residents with an RN license
The Fall* Course (Fall classes start Oct. 14)
NSC 180 - Legal and Moral Decisions in Nursing and Health Care (3 credits)
This course explores legal and ethical decision-making in healthcare through case studies, focusing on self-awareness, values, professional standards, regulations, and the impact of malpractice and misconduct.

- October 14 — 5:10 pm - 8 pm
- November 11 — 5:10 pm - 8 pm
- December 2 — 5:10 pm - 8 pm
*The second course, NSC 300, that eligible students can receive tuition for will start in Spring 2026.
Funding
The scholarship which is equivalent to 3 credits will be applied towards tuition ($1,700+) of two RN to BSN curriculum courses - NUR 180 & NSC 300. The funding excludes registration, books, and course fees, which are the responsibility of the student.
