The Emergency Medical Technician* certificate program is designed to prepare students to provide competent care for patients in emergency situations through a comprehensive program of four courses that include learning in the classroom, laboratory and clinical environments. EMTs provide out-of-hospital emergency medical care and transportation for critical and emergent patients who access the emergency medical services system.
Daytime and Evening Options
Students who enroll in the EMT program can also choose to complete the entire program -- four courses over two semesters -- during the day or in the evening at the college's Bedford location, whichever option is more convenient for them.
The daytime option requires daily attendance each weekday morning. The evening option requires that students complete the program two evenings per week.
