The Humanities and Social Sciences Division announces auditions for LITTLE SHOP OF HORRORS (BROADWAY VERSION), Book and Lyrics by Howard Ashman and Music by Alan Menken, produced by special arrangement with MTI.
The meek floral assistant Seymour Krelborn stumbles across a new breed of plant he names “Audrey II,” after his coworker crush. This foulmouthed, R&B-singing carnivore promises unending fame and fortune to the down-and-out Krelborn as long as he keeps feeding it blood. Over time, though, Seymour discovers Audrey II’s out-of-this-world origins and intent towards global domination!
IMPORTANT:
Prospective auditionees MUST have availability on Monday and Thursday evenings in the fall semester, 6-9 pm.
Full rehearsals will commence in the winter semester.
Production dates are April 1-4, 2027.
Auditions from all who are interested are encourged. However, current and recent MCCC students will receive priority consideration in casting. Thank you for your understanding.
Roles include: Seymour Krelbourn, Audrey, Mr. Mushnik, Orin Scrivello, D.D.S., Audrey II (voice), and the singing trio, Crystal, Ronnette, and Chiffon. A limited ensemble will also be cast. Some backstage positions may be available.
