An open house for prospective electrical students will be held at MCCC on Monday,  December 5, 2022, from 5:30-6:30 p.m.  To RSVP, go to: bit.ly/SEMCA-Open-House.

The Southeast Michigan Construction Academy will offer a Level 1 electrical course that will begin Tuesday, Jan. 3 and run through the beginning of August. Upon successful completion, students can enroll in Level 2 of SEMCA’s four-level training program.

Students who enroll in the SEMCA program will have the opportunity to interview for positions with non-union electrical contractors located in Southeast Michigan as they become available. Training providers will work with students who would like to obtain employment in the electrical field; however, employment is not guaranteed. In addition, students do not have to be currently employed to participate in this training course.
