La-Z-Boy Center, Meyer Theater
Monroe County Community College, in partnership with its student newspaper, The Agora, the Monroe County NAACP and other college partners, is hosting forums for area candidates seeking office in the upcoming November election.
The non-partisan forums will allow those running for contested offices to meet the public and answer questions about their platforms.
The forums are not debates. Each candidate will have allotted time for an introduction and to answer each question.
The candidates and topics slated for each forum will include:
- Oct. 7: U.S. and state-level representatives
- Oct. 8: County-wide offices
- Oct. 9: County school boards and the MCCC Board of Trustees
Any candidates, with permission, are welcome to set up tables and pass out material at the forums.
