MONROE, Mich. – Monroe County Community College has awarded the Circolo Italiano Scholarship to Alexandria Perna of Monroe, Michigan. The scholarship is to be used for books.
Perna, of Monroe, is a 2015 graduate of St. Mary Catholic Central pursing her studies in Business Management at MCCC. She volunteers at God Works, as a coach at St. Michael’s Parish and for the Mrs. Claus Club.
To be eligible for this scholarship, a student must present financial need, reside in Monroe County and have a working knowledge of the Italian language or culture. Preference will be given to a student planning to pursue studies, training, or research relating to the Italian culture.
