MONROE, Mich. – Adventure, romance, swordplay and laughter collide this spring as Monroe County Community College's Humanities and Social Sciences Division brings The Three Musketeers to life in the La-Z-Boy Center, Meyer Theater from April 9-12.
The La-Z-Boy Center is located on MCCC's Main Campus at 1555 S. Raisinville Rd. in Monroe.
Adapted by celebrated playwright Ken Ludwig from the classic novel by Alexandre Dumas, The Three Musketeers is a fast-paced, high-spirited retelling of the timeless tale of honor, friendship and daring adventure. Audiences will follow young d’Artagnan as he joins forces with Athos, Porthos and Aramis to defend justice and outwit the scheming Cardinal Richelieu in a swashbuckling theatrical event filled with comedy, intrigue and heart.
Featuring a unique collaboration of current and past MCCC students and guest actors, audiences will enjoy spirited performances, thrilling stage combat and vibrant storytelling. The show promises an evening of family-friendly entertainment appropriate for ages 10 and up.
