MONROE, Mich. – Monroe County Community College will present a live tribute to Elvis Presley and Elton John on June 5 at 7:30 p.m., and less than 60 tickets remain.
The show will take place in the college's La-Z-Boy Center, Meyer Theater on the Main Campus at 1555 S. Raisinville Rd., Monroe.
Tickets are $27 and available online while they last at www.monroeccc.edu/seasonevents.
Dwight Icenhower is a five-time world champion Elvis Presley tribute artist. Concertgoers are captivated by his stage presence, complete with charm and vocals that emulate the King of Rock ‘n’ Roll. Icenhower has mastered Elvis’ personas over time and has experience performing with the original musicians who played with Elvis. He also does a remarkable portrayal of Elton John. Icenhower’s flair and authentic showmanship are seen through his passion and spot-on wardrobe. He will cover a variety of Elton’s iconic songs.
The portrayals of these music legends will connect rock ‘n’ roll with soul, said Bill Wilt, MCCC's theater and cultural events manager, who substantiates the show’s hype.
“Icenhower’s portrayals of Elvis and Elton are astounding. It is a must-see,” he said.
