MCCC Awards the Gwendolyn M. Jacob Memorial Scholarship

MONROE, Mich. – Monroe County Community College has awarded the Gwendolyn M. Jacob Memorial Scholarship to Kari Cooley. The scholarship is to be used for tuition, books and fees.

Cooley, of Monroe, is a 2015 graduate of Monroe High School. After receiving her Associates Degree from MCCC, she would like to be a reporter for the Major League Baseball Network. She is a volunteer coach for Monroe Junior League Softball league and an assistant coach for the 8th grade Monroe Softball team. She is the daughter of Daniel and Kathy Cooley.

To be eligible for this scholarship, a student must have graduated from Monroe High School, enrolled in a transfer curriculum at MCCC, have a GPA of 2.5 or above and maintain a full-time enrollment status of twelve (12) credit hours.
