MONROE, Mich. – Monroe County Community College has awarded the Midway Products – Lyman E. Hoyt Memorial Scholarship to Collin Bell. The scholarship is to be used for tuition, books, and fees.
Bell, of Monroe, will be studying Welding Technology at MCCC. He is the fiancé of Jessica O’Connell and son of Lochard Bell and Margaret Bell.
To be eligible for this scholarship, a student must be enrolled in one of the following programs at MCCC: Automotive Engineering Technology, Mechanical Design Technology, Welding Technology, Mechanical Engineering Technology, or Manufacturing Technology.
In addition, student must maintain full-time enrollment status of 12 credit hours or more, must have and maintain a 2.5 grade point average or higher during their scholarship year and demonstrate financial need. Preference will be given to a Monroe County resident or a child of Midway Products, Inc. employee.
