MONROE, Mich. – Monroe County Community College has awarded the Ruthie Merritt Memorial Scholarship to Shelia Cuschieri. The $950 scholarship is to be used for tuition.
Cuschieri, is a 1992 graduate of Summerfield High School and is currently pursuing a career as an Application Software Specialist at MCCC. She is currently a volunteer for God Works Soup Kitchen, coaches 5th and 6th grade softball at Erie Mason schools and is the president of the Mason Middle school PTSA. She is the mother of three wonderful boys, Caleb, Jacob and Ethan.
The Ruthie Merritt Memorial Scholarship was established by the family and friends of Ruthie Merritt, a former employee of MCCC.
