MCCC Awards the Roy Turner Scholarship

MONROE, Mich. – Monroe County Community College has awarded the Roy Turner Scholarship to Nicholas Spicer. The scholarship is to be used for tuition, books, and fees.

Spicer, of Monroe, is a 2016 graduate of Monroe High School and is pursuing a Business Management Degree at MCCC. He has been involved in DECA for the past four years. He is the son of Bryan Spicer and JoAnn Spicer and brother to Samantha and Sydney Spicer.

To be eligible for this scholarship, a student must be a Monroe County resident and a Monroe County firefighter or the child or grandchild of a local (Monroe County) firefighter. Additionally, the student must have a minimum of a 2.5 grade point average, and must maintain full-time enrollment status of at least 12 credit hours per semester.
