MONROE, Mich. – The Foundation at Monroe County Community College has awarded the William J. and Jennie E. Bacarella Scholarship to Phyllis Alexius. The $1,000 scholarship is to be used for tuition, books, and fees.
Alexius, of Monroe, is enrolled in the Business Management Program at MCCC. She is a member of Monroe CrossWalk Cummunity Church. She is married to Eric Alexius and is the mother to Danielle Leonard and Raphye Alexius.
To be eligible for this scholarship, a student must be majoring in a business- related curriculum, maintain part-time enrollment status of six credit hours or more, and be a resident of Monroe County. In addition, the donor prefers non-traditional students and graduates of St. Mary Catholic Central High School.
