The Foundation at MCCC Awards the Irv Locketz Culinary Scholarship

MONROE, Mich. – The Foundation at Monroe County Community College has awarded the Irv Locketz Culinary Scholarship to Jennifer Smith. The $2,500 scholarship is to be used for tuition, fees books and supplies.

Smith, of Luna Pier, is a 1994 graduate from Mason Consolidated High School. She is currently studying in the Culinary Skills and Management Program at MCCC. She graduated from MCCC in 2016 with an Associate’s Degree in Business Management. Her mother is Jacqueline Meyer and she is married to Patrick A. Smith, Jr.

To be eligible for this scholarship a student must enrolled and accepted in the Culinary Skills and Management program at MCCC, must submit a one page essay on why the applicant should be selected to receive the scholarship, must be enrolled in a minimum of eight (8) credit hours per semester in the fall and winter. Financial need may be considered.
