The Foundation at MCCC Awards the Herb Kehrl Memorial Scholarship

MONROE, Mich. – The Foundation at Monroe County Community College has awarded the Herb Kehrl Memorial Scholarship to Holly Owsley. The $250 scholarship is to be used for tuition, fees and books.

Owsley, of Monroe, is a 2010 graduate from Airport High School pursuing a career in Early Childhood Development at MCCC. She graduated with honors from high school. She is the daughter of Nick Ellison and Angela Pidgeon, wife to Kalvin Owsley and is the mother to Khloe and Dominik Owsley.

The scholarship was established in remembrance of Herb Kehrl. It is awarded to students majoring in political science, history, or education, are enrolled at least a part-time and are a resident of Monroe County, preferably within Michigan’s 56th House of Representatives District.
